How you can help:

Muintir Mhuire has grown significantly since its founding in October 2003. As a charity we rely on Divine Providence for donations and funding. This has been very successful to date and the Community has grown rapidly. We are dependent upon the guiding influence of the Holy Spirit for this growth to be maintained. The fruits of this can be seen in the generosity of those who contribute towards our work.

It has been the experience of all involved with the Community that the more we give the more we receive. Some have given their valuable time, sidelined careers, turned down job opportunities and some just give, as Mother Theresa once said

"True giving is giving until it hurts"           

Sometimes this can be frustrating because we do not know how to give, where to give and to whom to give. The Holy Spirit continually guides each and every one of us through our innermost thoughts, emotions and conscience, inspiring us and directing us to help people who are less fortunate than ourselves. The greatest gift you can give us is Prayer and we know that once you do that you are already involved with us in bringing about a change for the better in lives of all who seek our help.

We know from experience that there are many who want also to contribute in a practicable way by being involved directly in our work and this is always appreciated. Others want to be associated with our Community and do so from a distance by contributing financially, without this support our community would not have the facilities to provide for its members. We see all of this as coming from Divine Providence. Some He inspires to come and join us, some to spend time in prayer and some to give of their resources or a combination of these. We include in our prayer every day all who are involved with us and our work in whatever way, all are really appreciated. We thank God and His Blessed Mother for bringing together so many people who want to see His Will being done by providing together what could not be achieved by one or two on their own. 1. Prayer

We believe Divine Providence has had an enormous part to play in the formation and ongoing development of Muintir Mhuire. We pray for the success of our Community everyday and we place our trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You may also join us in prayer. Our prayer involves praying the Rosary and then celebrating Holy Mass followed by the Apostles Creed then the Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be to the Father, seven times. You may attend one of our prayer meetings in the Parish Centre, Midleton, Thursday nights at 8.15pm. Alternatively you may pray at home. Any prayer no matter how small is greatly appreciated and of huge importance to us.

2. Becoming a Member of Muintir Mhuire
If you are thinking about joining us, you would be more than welcome. We offer you the opportunity to take Time Out from the stresses of life in a community environment that encompasses prayer, retreat, an opportunity to develop spiritual life, practical work and study. We have people from many walks of life ranging in age from 18 to mid 30’s who stay with us for periods of six months. 3. Making a Donation
If you would like to make a donation you may use one of the following options. You can choose to pay by direct debit, electronic transfer, post, or credit card.

For Direct Debit you may fill out the form provided and send it into your bank. You can specify a sum of money to be paid from to be paid from your account to our account. This is then deducted from your account and sent to our account at a period of your choosing be it weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Our Bank Details are supplied below if you wish to make an electronic transfer of a sum of money from your account to ours. It is possible to transfer money via internet banking electronically, which saves time and reduces the need for paperwork.

You may post a donation to us. Our address is provided below. We kindly request that you send Cheques, Bank Drafts or Postal Orders. Please do not send cash. If you wish to receive a receipt please provided your name and address.

To make a credit card donation please click on the link provided. This is a secure form of payment and your private information is safe.

You may also call to Muintir Mhuire and hand in your donation. A receipt will be provided to all who give us their name and address.

The choice is up to you. We welcome any donation no matter how small as we know it will go a long way.
